![]() Agricraft: I know you mentioned it already, I'm just posting it here to say that I agree with it. And freestanding ladders.īeen a while since I've done one of these. 'Nuf said.Ĭarpenters Blocks - lots of cool customization stuff. Z-Tones - not too familiar with this mod, but I know it adds a lot of really neat blocksĬhisel 2 - Easily one of the best mods. Twilight Forest - adds the Twilight dimension which, when explored without Flight and OP weapons/armor, provides a real adventuring challenge, and some neat, non-OP magic items, weapons and armor. It would also be a lot less OP without a bunch of the other common mods present Immersive Engineering is a newer mod that has a more rustic feeling power system (I think this is the one you were referring to) - there are some really neat multiblock structures, conveyor belts, power lines and moreīotania is pretty great - there are some pretty strong late-game items, such as a tiara that can give you creative mode flight, but it requires mana to do so, so it's not free. Hunger Overhaul (further redefines the Hunger mechanic to make it more challenging yet) Spice of Life (the diminishing returns on food mod) I'm not super knowledgeable on the mods out there, but from what I do know you may want: The end goal is for mods to assist, without making the game creative mode in the end where you watch endless resources tick up on a computer screen.Īny suggestions or help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks reddit! Tl dr: I want to make a modpack based around farming and low-tech machines (non-futuristic), with maybe a little magic. Botania.maybe? I'm not sure how 'far' all the magic mods go, and I'd rather not pick a magic mod like blood magic where it becomes a huge grind in the end - or basically makes the game creative mode. Any assistance in having interesting tech, without being crazy futuristic would be nice here. I've seen mods where windmills can be used for power (though that might not have been released yet?), where power lines can be run, and where factories are set up with conveyor belts move ores and such during processing (magnetcraft I think?). Mining/Technology: Mining and doing stuff with what you mine is always really cool, but I feel like a lot of the tech just goes.too far. Interesting things to put in homes, and microblocks would be important. ![]() I'd like to make building up a village and your own farm important to the pack. Homebuilding: Building nice looking homes and such, and working with villages would be important as well. The diversified food mod that makes food give diminishing returns is also big on the list though the name escapes me right now. Some of the important things would be: Farming: agricraft and pam's are likely a must. ![]() ![]() While it's pretty close to what I wanted, I feel like it's not quite 100% there (that and it's not a full release yet!) so I've been pondering what to include in such a pack. The latest release of Magic Farm inspired me to make a harvest-moon esque pack. Regardless, I've decided that I kind of want to get back into it again. Probably about the time Technic Pack was just getting started with some of the early releases of Tekkit. The last time I made a modpack suited to myself was.forever ago. It's been.a while since I've gotten into minecraft modding on my own, occasionally poking my head back in when it suits me to check out the newest and the latest for a while before fading back out once again. ![]()
